The emblem of Institutions contains phrase " विद्या परं दैवतम्” which translates “knowledge is the supreme deity”.
This phrase emphasizes the profound importance and elevated status of knowledge. The key components of our Motto are defined as under:
1. विद्या (Vidya): This Sanskrit word translates to "knowledge" or "learning." It encompasses not just academic knowledge but a broader understanding that includes wisdom, skills, and intellectual enlightenment.
2. परं (Param): Translating to "supreme" or "highest," this word conveys the idea that knowledge is of the utmost importance and holds a position above all else.
3. दैवतम् (Daivatam): This term is often translated as "deity" or "god." In this context, it suggests that knowledge is elevated to a divine or godly status.
Therefore, GIS motto suggests that knowledge is not just valuable or important; it is the highest, most supreme entity, akin to a deity. It underscores the idea that the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge are not only noble but also essential for personal and societal growth.
